The University of Nebraska-Lincoln offers classes for veterans with no college experience or some college credit.  Whether you are an in-state resident or an out-of-state resident.

Military Transfer Credits

To have military credit considered, students are asked to submit official transcripts to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

  • Soldiers, reservists, veterans, and members of the Army national Guard should order the Army/ACE Registry Transcripting System (AARTS) transcript from https://aarts.army.mil.
  • Sailors, Marines, and veterans should order the Sailor/Marine/ACE Registry Transcript (SMART) from https://smart.navy.mil or call toll-free (877) 253-7122
  • Air Force Active Duty, Guard and Reservists or retired or separated Air Force Members may obtain transcripts from the Community College of the Air Force at http://www.au.af.mil/au/ccaf/

Students enrolling will be given 1 credit of military science for every three months of active duty up to a total of four credits. All other military credit will be reviewed by your college upon admission.

ACE Military Guide

The ACE Military Guide Online presents ACE recommendations for formal courses and occupations offered by all branches of the military. All recommendations are based on ACE reviews conducted by college and university faculty members who are actively teaching in the areas they review.  Use this as a guide to how your military credits can be transfered.

UNL has accommodations for those older students with families.

Distance Education

UNL offers an online Bachelor of Science in Applied Science, undergraduate degree and over 30 online graduate programs.  These programs offer the flexibility and convenience military personnel and their families need to further their education and advance their careers.
